As many of you will be aware, the problems associated with birds of prey have been exacerbated over recent years with the implementation of artificial nesting sites in our towns and cities.
Over the last 18 months the Raptor Alliance has been building a case against one of these sites. Rings were recovered from the nest and the owners informed of the sad demise of their pigeons.
With the agreement of the owners, and following the advice set out by our legal team, a claim for compensation has now been prepared and is currently being reviewed by the legal team prior to submission.
This is very much a test case that – if successful – will enable the sport to challenge other sites and hopefully reduce the number.
